Shifting to Ahmedabad after half a decade of haggling with auto drivers in delhi felt as fresh as the city itself: friendly people, smiles, bigger apartments and unbelievably honest auto drivers (Except the ones at the railway station and airport).
While on auto drivers, Bombay ones are as nice as their fellow Ahmedabadis. The Bangalore and Chennai are bad in this respect, which is strange, considering people there are supposed to be more honest that their Northern counterparts. But being a north Indian I don't know how they score with fellow south Indians. I know for a fact that Delhi auto drivers treat all Indians as same. They cheat everybody irrespective of where they come from.
If there was a way by which auto drivers could be monitored and stopped from overcharging commuters, life would really become a lot pleasant for citizens. Isn't it?
