I follow my heart, no matter what. i'm not too ambitious, not too competitive. I like my life to go at a languid pace. I don't steer my life. Life drives me. Modesty and humility are my strengths.

We need to take a new ‘Avatar’
I recently saw the movie ‘Avatar’. Now I have never been a great fan of sci-fi movies. I find them too cold; devoid of any emotional content. But ‘Avatar’ turned out to be something else. The message from the movie was quite spiritual. The fact that man has lost contact with the supreme power and become indifferent to the great life force that exists between humans and all the living things, be it plants or animals, has been conveyed with an unbelievable interplay of science, fantasy and cinematic excellence. It makes a lot of sense in today’s context when hatred has come to rule the roost. When the female protagonist tells our hero that he is brave but childish, who doesn’t understand a thing, it seemed like she was making a scathing comment on mankind and its ways. We are in fact like little children fighting for our toys: our toys being our caste, our religion, our state, our language, and so on. When our relationships should be defined by a divine connection and an instant affinity we feel with one another, we let immaterial things like region, religion and language dictate us. It is pity that we don’t understand the fact that the greatest life force knows only the language of love. And the best prayers we can offer to him is being empathetic and tolerant of other.

Very well written and true to the core. I hope each of us develops such sensibilities and together we are able to work towards the greater cause - peace, tolerance and love for all.
