Laptop junkies

People are just too eager to log on to their laptops during air-travel. No sooner do they settle in their seats in the waiting lounge or aboard, laptops come out. Have we really become that busy? Or is it an urge to look busier that the next passenger? People get on to networking and chat sites instantly. They don’t even show any inclination to smile to next guy, leave alone striking a conversation. When we travelled in trains, especially in 2nd class compartments, we joked, chatted, argued and made friends, which sometimes travelled beyond the journeys. A close friend of mine fell in love with a girl while travelling from Chennai to Kolkata and the relationship lasted for years. In higher classes, however, the tendency to keep to oneself became more evident. But air travel has taken this tendency to a higher level. Or is that the way of life for the higher classes?
